City asked to take action on climate change

Environment Hamilton held a media conference on Monday December 11th 2006 to release a ten-point plan of low-cost actions that the new city council can quickly undertake to address the threat of global climate change.
Municipal governments across North America have stepped into the breach left by the lack of effective action by senior levels of government on climate change. The proposed plan will assist Hamilton to join this positive trend.
EH's 2006 climate change program was launched on June 12 when 150 people attended a special lecture by David Phillips, Canada's favorite weatherman.
